OVERVIEW
Harry A. Zinn has over 38 years of experience in providing advice and counsel to employers of all sizes in a wide array of endeavors. Prior to forming Young & Zinn LLP, the predecessor firm to Pazzani & Sandhu LLP, he was a Partner in the Employment Law Department of the international law firm of Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP, where he practiced for nearly 17 years.
Mr. Zinn has substantial experience in advising employers regarding complex employee discipline, discharge, and leave of absence issues, wage and hour matters, drafting and reviewing employee handbooks and personnel policies, conducting independent investigations of harassment, discrimination, and other internal complaints, and providing employee training. Mr. Zinn also regularly advises senior executives in the preparation and negotiation of complex employment and severance agreements.
For the nineteenth consecutive year, Mr. Zinn recently was named a California Super Lawyer in the field of employment and labor law, a designation awarded to the top 5% of California attorneys based on a survey of all California lawyers. He is also AV rated by Martindale Hubbell in the areas of labor and employment law.
Mr. Zinn currently serves on the Advisory Board of UCLA’s Leve Center for Jewish Studies. He is a past chair of the Legal Advisory Committee for the Anti-Defamation League’s Pacific Southwest Region and vice chair of the Board of Directors of Hillel at UCLA. He also served as a member of the UCLA Alumni Association Board of Directors. He has traveled extensively in Eastern Europe and met with former Soviet government officials in St. Petersburg (on a pro bono basis) in a successful attempt to secure the emigration of a Russian citizen to the United States.
